House of the Lynx

lyrics

I have plans
I am not an empty man
I walk the path as it appears
with that soft crunch of earth
under my feet I feel clean
when she speaks

a large wet stop under a tree
in the summer heat it calls to me
with a savage roar
an open door
an empty seat
a glimpse at me

a new perfect plane
where I create
a black hole to a better soul
I let every leaf appear to think
and share their names
and every pain

through the forest floor to a small clearing
in the cool grass the tables set
over every tool
for mage and fool
dusk’s sunlight winks
walk with the lynx

a too long ladder
with which to create
two golden bowls
to cleanse and to paint infinity
over cats eyes
in one slow effortless streak

when the colors streak
and the angels tweak
when black-tipped ears and reflective eyes
fill your vision
consume your skies
it’s another truth
in a well-lit room
